Tool technology

Quick and flexible: Our tool shop has it all covered

More Details

Our products are created with the help of our state-of-the-art CAD infrastructure and efficient toolmaking processes. And as for the people who make it all happen, our team is made up of design experts working hand in hand with experienced toolmakers. We manufacture all of our product-specific bending and stamp-bending tools ourselves, with most of these expertly created and tested right here in our own tool shop. The benefit of this for you is that we don’t need to rely on external suppliers, which means we can respond flexibly to your requirements without being held back by third-party lead times. But if we do ever find ourselves calling in external support, we know we can rely on our select network of exceptional suppliers, who have built up a fantastic relationship with us spanning many years.

Coating methods

Plain or not?

More Details

Plain may well be the way to go, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s no secret about it: coating steel can make sense for a whole host of reasons with both technical and visual considerations to take into account. These include improving electrical conductivity, preventing oxidation, providing corrosion protection, and even simply looking better. This is why we have been working closely with a number of largely regional specialist companies for some time to ensure our components always have the right surface to suit your requirements. Available surface coatings and finishes include:

Corrosion protection processes:

  • Zinc coatings
  • Passivated coatings (CrVI-free)
  • Inorganic coatings, e.g. Dacromet (zinc-aluminium), thick layer silver, zinc-iron, zinc-nickel
  • Organic coatings, e.g. zinc blade coverage Delta Tone / Delta Seal silver, black

Galvanizing processes:

  • Zinc coatings
  • Passivated coatings (CrVI-free)
  • Silver coating
  • Gold coating
  • Tin coating
  • Nickel coating
  • Chrome coating
  • Bonding, e.g. zinc bonding
  • Burnishing

Other surface treatments:

  • Inorganic coatings, e.g. Dacromet (zinc-aluminium), thick layer silver, zinc-iron, zinc-nickel
  • Organic coatings, e.g. zinc blade coverage Delta Tone / Delta Seal silver, black
  • Varnishing and powder coating
  • Polishing
  • Electropolishing

Heat treatment processes / Curing processes

For the ideal material properties, heat is the way forward

More Details

As we all know, defined heating and cooling changes a material’s microstructure formation, meaning strengths can be changed, dimensional stability increased, stresses removed and geometries calibrated.

The application of heat can even have an extremely beneficial impact, particularly for wire and strip bending parts, fasteners and springs.
